Dry Ingredients:
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups cake flour
- 2 tsp. cornstarch
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
Wet Ingredients:
- 1 cup cold, unsalted butter, cubed
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed (dark or light)
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 large egg yolks
- 2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 3 cups milk chocolate chips (or less if desired)
- Red and blue gel food coloring
- Edible glitter stars
Instructions
- Prepare Dough: Combine dry ingredients. Cream butter and sugars. Add eggs, yolks, and vanilla. Gradually add dry ingredients. Mix in chocolate chips.
- Color Dough: Divide dough into 3 sections. Color two sections red and blue using gel food coloring.
- Shape and Bake: Roll each section into logs. Combine logs, slice, roll into balls, and place on baking sheets. Bake and decorate with glitter stars.
Notes
- Adjust cookie size for baking time.
- Recipe can be halved for fewer cookies.
