Description

This 5 Ingredient BLT Salad is a quick and easy breadless version of the classic BLT, combining crisp iceberg lettuce, juicy tomatoes, crispy bacon, and a creamy dressing. Perfect for a refreshing and satisfying meal or side dish, ready in just 15 minutes!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • Salad

  • 1 head of Iceberg Lettuce, diced
  • 3 to 4 Tomatoes, diced
  • 1 pound of Bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • Dressing

  • 1/2 cup Sour Cream
  • 3/4 cup Mayonnaise
  • Salt & Pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the Bacon: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until it’s crispy and golden brown. Be sure it’s nice and crisp for the best texture. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain and cool, then crumble.
  2. Prepare the Vegetables: Dice the iceberg lettuce into bite-sized pieces and dice the tomatoes.
  3. Combine Ingredients: In a large salad bowl, add the diced lettuce, tomatoes, crumbled bacon, sour cream, and mayonnaise. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Mix the Salad: Gently toss all ingredients together until everything is well coated in the creamy dressing.
  5. Serve: Serve the BLT salad immediately using salad tongs or a slotted spoon for best texture and freshness. Enjoy!

Notes

  • This salad is best served immediately to keep the bacon crisp and the lettuce fresh.
  • You can substitute iceberg lettuce with romaine if preferred.
  • Feel free to add avocado or shredded cheese for extra flavor.
  • If you like spice, add a pinch of cayenne or some chopped chives to the dressing.
