Description
This Air Fryer Garlic Parmesan Chicken Skewers are tender, flavorful, and perfectly crispy on the outside. Marinated in garlic and herb seasoning and brushed with a rich garlic Parmesan butter, these skewers make for a quick, healthy, and delicious meal or appetizer that’s easily customizable for family dinners or gatherings.

- 1 1/2 lbs boneless skinless chicken thighs, cut into 2-inch pieces
- 1 1/2 Tbsp garlic and herb seasoning
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
- 6 skewers, metal or bamboo
Garlic Parmesan Butter
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 4 cloves garlic, minced or grated li>1 Tbsp garlic and herb seasoning
- 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 1/3 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Prepare: Soak bamboo skewers in water for at least 30 minutes if using; if using metal skewers, no soaking needed. Ensure they fit comfortably in the air fryer basket.
- Season Chicken: In a bowl, toss the chicken pieces with olive oil and garlic and herb seasoning until evenly coated.
- Prepare Skewers: Thread the seasoned chicken onto the skewers, approximately 7-8 pieces per skewer.
- Cook Chicken: Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Place the skewers in the basket, making sure they don’t touch or overlap. Air fry for 8 minutes.
- Make Garlic Butter: In a small bowl, combine softened butter, minced garlic, garlic and herb seasoning, kosher salt, chopped parsley, and grated Parmesan.
- Continue Cooking: Flip the skewers, generously brush them with garlic Parmesan butter, and air fry for an additional 7 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Brush and Serve: Remove skewers from the air fryer and brush with additional garlic Parmesan butter before serving hot.
Notes
- I’ve estimated this recipe serves 4, but you can easily double or halve it based on your needs.
- For homemade garlic and herb seasoning, combine dried minced garlic, kosher salt, garlic powder, dried basil, dried parsley, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
- For oven directions, bake skewers at 375°F for 20-25 minutes, turning halfway through.
- For grilling, cook over medium-high heat for 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally for even char and cooking.
