Spice Mix
- 1 1/2 teaspoons smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano or mixed herbs
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
For the Bowls
- 2-3 medium potatoes
- 2 tablespoons olive oil, divided
- 500 grams lean beef mince
- Lettuce, shredded
- Cheese, dairy-free or regular
- Pickle slices
Burger Sauce
- 4 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon ketchup
- 1 teaspoon Dijon or yellow mustard
- 1 teaspoon pickle juice from the jar of pickles
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
Instructions
- Prepare Spice Mix: In a small bowl, combine the smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Stir well to create a uniform seasoning blend and set aside.
- Prepare Potatoes: Peel (if desired) and cut the potatoes into chip-like pieces. Toss them in a bowl with half of the olive oil and half of the prepared spice mix until evenly coated. Spread the potatoes out on a baking tray or air fryer basket and cook until crispy and golden—approximately 20 minutes at 200°C (400°F) for baking or as per your air fryer instructions.
- Cook Beef Mince: Heat the remaining olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the lean beef mince and brown it, stirring occasionally to break it apart. Once the meat starts to brown, sprinkle the remaining spice mix over the mince and continue cooking until it is evenly darkened and any liquid has evaporated, about 8-10 minutes.
- Make Burger Sauce: In a small bowl, mix together mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, pickle juice, garlic powder, and smoked paprika until smooth and well combined.
- Assemble Bowls: Divide the crispy spiced potatoes among serving bowls. Top with shredded lettuce, the cooked beef mince, cheese slices or shreds, and pickle slices. Drizzle the prepared burger sauce over the top to finish. Serve immediately.
Notes
- You can customize your Burger Bowls with additional toppings like avocado, tomatoes, or caramelized onions for extra flavor and texture.
- Feel free to adjust the spice levels in the beef mince and potatoes according to your personal taste preferences.
