Description

Cherries in the Snow Dessert is a delightful and easy-to-make dessert featuring a luscious combination of creamy layers, light angel food cake, and sweet cherry pie filling. Perfect for any occasion!

Cream Cheese Mixture:

  • 8 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup 2% milk

Whipped Topping:

  • 12 ounces Cool Whip whipped topping, thawed
  • 1 9″ pre-baked angel food cake, broken into small pieces

Cherry Topping:

  • 2 cans cherry pie filling (21 ounces each)

Instructions

  1. Cream Cheese Mixture: In a large bowl, use a hand mixer to whip the cream cheese and powdered sugar until creamy. Mix in 1/4 cup of milk until smooth, then add in the other 1/4 cup milk and mix again.
  2. Whipped Topping: Gently fold in the Cool Whip. Break the cake into small pieces and add into the whipped mixture. Fold to combine.
  3. Assembly: Spoon the cake mixture into a 9×13 glass baking pan and spread it evenly. Spread the cherry pie filling on top.
  4. Cover and refrigerate until serving.
