Caramel Mixture:
- 11 oz Kraft caramel bits
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (chopped into pieces)
- 1/4 cup raisin puree
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup 1-minute rolled oats
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips (half semi-sweet & half milk chocolate)
- 8 oz mini marshmallows
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
Instructions
- Make the raisin puree: In a small food processor or blender, blend rehydrated raisins with reserved water until creamy. Set aside.
- Prepare workspace: Line a counter space with parchment paper.
- Melt caramel: In a large pot over low heat, melt caramel bits and butter.
- Add ingredients: Stir in raisin puree, cocoa powder, oats, chocolate chips until melted. Add marshmallows and vanilla extract.
- Incorporate Rice Krispies: Stir in Rice Krispies until coated.
- Form treats: Use a cookie scoop to form mixture into patties on parchment paper.
- Set and cool: Let treats sit until firm and cool. Store in an airtight container.

- To make raisin puree, soak raisins in boiling water, blend until creamy.
