Pasta + Shrimp:

- 12 ounces linguine or spaghetti
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Sauce:
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 3 to 4 cloves garlic, finely minced
- 1 1/2 cups milk (not skim) or heavy cream
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Pinch of black pepper
- 1 cup freshly shredded Parmesan cheese
- Chopped, fresh parsley, for garnish
- Freshly grated Parmesan cheese, for serving
Instructions
- Prepare Shrimp: Pat the shrimp dry and toss with paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Cook Pasta: Boil pasta until al dente, reserving pasta water before draining.
- Cook Shrimp: Sauté shrimp in butter and oil until cooked; set aside.
- Make Sauce: Sauté garlic, then add milk, cornstarch, salt, pepper, and Parmesan; stir until thickened.
- Combine: Toss cooked noodles in sauce, adding reserved pasta water as needed. Add shrimp and parsley.
- Serve: Garnish with Parmesan and enjoy!
