Description

These Easy Halloween Chocolate Covered Strawberries are a fun and festive treat perfect for spooky celebrations. Featuring strawberries dipped in melted chocolate and decorated with candy eyeballs, sprinkles, and chocolate chips, this no-bake recipe is simple to prepare and sure to delight guests of all ages with its creepy cute look.

Ingredients

Scale

White Chocolate Base

  • 6 ounces (170 g) white chocolate, chopped into small pieces or baking chips
  • 12 medium to large strawberries
  • 24 candy eyeballs

Chocolate Decorations

  • 12 chocolate chips or chocolate callets
  • Halloween sprinkles (various colors and shapes)
  • Green sanding sugar sprinkles
  • Orange sanding sugar or sparkling sugar sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Prepare Strawberries: Wash and dry the strawberries thoroughly with paper towels. Ensure they are completely dry to help the chocolate adhere properly and prevent seizing.
  2. Melt Chocolate: Reserve a small handful of chocolate pieces. Place the remaining chocolate in a heat-proof bowl over a saucepan with 1 inch of barely simmering water, ensuring the water doesn’t touch the bowl’s bottom. Stir constantly until most chocolate melts, remove from heat, and stir in reserved chocolate until fully melted and smooth.
  3. Dip Strawberries: Hold a strawberry by its leaves as a handle and dip it into the melted chocolate. Let excess chocolate drip off, gently scrape the bottom on the bowl’s rim, then set the strawberry on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  4. Decorate: Before the chocolate sets, decorate each strawberry with candy eyeballs, chocolate chips, and sprinkles as desired to create spooky Halloween designs.
  5. Set Chocolate: Allow the dipped strawberries to sit at room temperature until the chocolate completely hardens. Optionally, chill briefly to speed up the setting process.

Notes

  • Ensure strawberries are completely dry before dipping to prevent chocolate from seizing.
  • You can mix and match chocolate types (dark, milk, white) for varied designs.
  • Use parchment paper on the tray to prevent sticking.
  • Store finished strawberries in a cool place and consume within 1-2 days for best freshness.
  • These strawberries make a perfect centerpiece or treat for Halloween parties and kids’ gatherings.
