Description

A refreshing and creamy dessert combining the tartness of strawberry Jello with the rich texture of Greek yogurt. This easy-to-make treat is perfect for a light snack or a delightful end to any meal, with optional garnish of whipped cream and fresh strawberries for added indulgence.

Ingredients

Scale

Gelatin Mixture

  • 1 box (6 oz) strawberry Jello gelatin (or your favorite flavor)
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup cold water

Dairy

  • 2 cups Greek yogurt (whole milk preferred, vanilla or plain)

Optional Garnishes

  • Whipped cream or Cool Whip whipped topping
  • Fresh strawberries for garnish

Instructions

  1. Dissolve the Gelatin: In a large bowl, add the gelatin powder and pour in 1 cup of boiling water. Stir continuously until the gelatin is completely dissolved, which should take about two minutes.
  2. Incorporate the Yogurt: Whisk in the 2 cups of Greek yogurt thoroughly until the mixture is smooth and well combined without lumps.
  3. Add Cold Water: Pour in 1 cup of cold water and gently stir to blend all ingredients evenly.
  4. Chill the Mixture: Transfer the mixture into 8 individual serving dishes (approximately 6 oz each) or a medium serving bowl. Cover with plastic wrap or lid and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight until the Jello is fully set.
  5. Serve and Garnish: Before serving, top with whipped cream or Cool Whip and garnish with fresh strawberries or other preferred toppings such as sprinkles, chopped nuts, or fresh mint.
  6. Storage: Cover and refrigerate any leftovers for up to 5 days to maintain freshness.

Notes

  • You may substitute one 6 oz box of Jello with two 3 oz boxes or choose sugar-free Jello for a lower sugar option.
  • Whole milk Greek yogurt provides the creamiest texture, but plain or non-fat Greek yogurt can be used as alternatives.
  • Other garnish options include sprinkles, chopped nuts, or fresh mint to enhance flavor and presentation.
