Bread:

  • 1 bread loaf, fairly flat (about 35cm / 14" long, 4 - 5cm / 1.5 - 2" thick)

Garlic Butter:

  • 125 g / 1 stick salted butter (or unsalted + 3/4 tsp salt)
  • 3 garlic cloves, very finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp finely chopped parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat BBQ: Heat the BBQ to medium-high.
  2. Melt Butter: In a saucepan, melt butter over medium-high heat. Add garlic and salt, cook until garlic is lightly golden and salt is dissolved.
  3. Infuse Garlic: Remove from heat, let garlic infuse into butter for a few minutes.
  4. Prepare Bread: Split the bread in half lengthwise or use thick slices. Spread most of the garlic butter on the cut side of the bread.
  5. Cook Bread: Place bread cut side down on the BBQ for 3-5 minutes until crusty, then flip and cook the other side.
  6. Finish: Brush on the remaining garlic butter, sprinkle with parsley, and serve!

Notes

  • For best results, avoid using a garlic crusher or jarred garlic for this recipe.
