Description
Jalapeño Popper Rolls are a savory and cheesy appetizer that combines the flavors of jalapeño poppers with the ease of crescent rolls. They’re a perfect party snack that’s both easy to make and delicious.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1/3 cup bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1/3 cup jalapeños, deseeded and diced
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 (8-ounce) can crescent roll dough, preferably crescent roll sheets
- 2 tablespoons salted butter, melted
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Prepare Oven and Pan: Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit (190 degrees Celsius). Spray a 9×13 inch pan with pan spray and set aside.
- Make Filling: Combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, crumbled bacon, diced jalapeños, salt, pepper, and garlic powder until fully mixed.
- Assemble Rolls: Open the crescent roll dough, and pinch the perforated seams together if necessary. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the crescent dough. Roll it up tightly and use a serrated knife to cut each section of dough into nine rolls.
- Bake: Place the rolls in the pan and bake for 25-28 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown.
- Prepare Butter Topping: Meanwhile, combine the melted salted butter, minced garlic, and chopped parsley.
- Brush with Butter: Brush the butter mixture over the rolls right when they come out of the oven. Let them cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.
Notes
- Deseeding the jalapeños will reduce the heat. Leave some seeds in for a spicier roll.
- For a smoother filling, use a hand mixer to combine the cream cheese mixture.
- You can use pre-cooked bacon bits to save time.
- Serve warm for the best texture and flavor.
