Description

Jalapeño Popper Rolls are a savory and cheesy appetizer that combines the flavors of jalapeño poppers with the ease of crescent rolls. They’re a perfect party snack that’s both easy to make and delicious.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/3 cup bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1/3 cup jalapeños, deseeded and diced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 (8-ounce) can crescent roll dough, preferably crescent roll sheets
  • 2 tablespoons salted butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Prepare Oven and Pan: Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit (190 degrees Celsius). Spray a 9×13 inch pan with pan spray and set aside.
  2. Make Filling: Combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, crumbled bacon, diced jalapeños, salt, pepper, and garlic powder until fully mixed.
  3. Assemble Rolls: Open the crescent roll dough, and pinch the perforated seams together if necessary. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the crescent dough. Roll it up tightly and use a serrated knife to cut each section of dough into nine rolls.
  4. Bake: Place the rolls in the pan and bake for 25-28 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown.
  5. Prepare Butter Topping: Meanwhile, combine the melted salted butter, minced garlic, and chopped parsley.
  6. Brush with Butter: Brush the butter mixture over the rolls right when they come out of the oven. Let them cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Deseeding the jalapeños will reduce the heat. Leave some seeds in for a spicier roll.
  • For a smoother filling, use a hand mixer to combine the cream cheese mixture.
  • You can use pre-cooked bacon bits to save time.
  • Serve warm for the best texture and flavor.
