Ingredients
Scale
Turkey Wings and Seasonings
- 4 pounds turkey wings (4 large turkey wings)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons onion powder
- 2 teaspoons dried thyme
- 2 teaspoons dried parsley
- 2 teaspoons lemon pepper seasoning (salt-free)
Lemon Pepper Butter Sauce
- 6 Tablespoons salted butter (I use Kerrygold)
- 2 teaspoons lemon pepper seasoning
- 2 teaspoons minced garlic
For Garnish
- Lemon wedges or slices (optional)
- Minced parsley
Instructions
- Preheat oven and prepare pan: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a 9 by 13-inch sheet pan with aluminum foil to make cleanup easier after baking.
- Prep and season turkey wings: If using full turkey wings, cut them at the joints and discard or save the tips for stock. Rinse the wings and pat them thoroughly dry with paper towels. Place the wings in a large bowl and add salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, dried thyme, dried parsley, and lemon pepper seasoning. Toss well to evenly coat all surfaces of the wings.
- Bake turkey wings: Arrange the seasoned turkey wings on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer. Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour. Halfway through at 30 minutes, remove the pan and flip the wings to ensure even cooking. The wings are done when an instant-read thermometer inserted into the thickest part reads 165°F (74°C).
- Make lemon pepper butter sauce: While the wings bake, melt the butter in a small pan over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and stir for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Remove the pan from heat and stir in the lemon pepper seasoning until well combined.
- Toss turkey wings with butter sauce: Transfer the baked turkey wings into a large bowl. Pour the lemon pepper butter sauce over the wings and toss thoroughly so each wing is coated. Alternatively, brush the sauce onto each wing for an even coating.
- Garnish and serve: Garnish the wings with extra lemon pepper seasoning, lemon slices or wedges, and minced parsley before serving to add fresh flavor and a pop of color.
