Description

This TikTok Million Dollar Spaghetti recipe is a rich, creamy baked pasta dish combining a luscious homemade Alfredo sauce with a savory marinara meat sauce. Featuring a blend of ground beef, Italian sausage, and a medley of three cheeses layered over angel hair pasta, it creates a decadent and comforting meal perfect for family dinners or special occasions.

Ingredients

Scale

Pasta

  • 1 lb. angel hair pasta or spaghetti

Alfredo Sauce

  • 1 stick butter (8 tablespoons), divided
  • 10 garlic cloves, minced (divided)
  • 3 cups heavy cream
  • 2 cups parmesan cheese, freshly grated
  • 3 tbsp cream cheese, softened
  • Salt and freshly cracked pepper, to taste
  • Red pepper flakes, to taste

Meat Sauce

  • 1/2 lb. ground beef (80/20)
  • 1/2 lb. hot Italian sausage (mild works too)
  • 1/2 onion, diced
  • 1/2 green bell pepper, diced
  • 6 tablespoons olive oil (1 tablespoon for browning meat, rest optional)
  • 32 oz. marinara sauce
  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and freshly cracked pepper, to taste

Cheese Topping

  • 2/3 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 2/3 cup fontina cheese, shredded
  • 2/3 cup provolone cheese, shredded
  • Parsley, for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit to prepare for baking the assembled spaghetti dish.
  2. Prepare Alfredo Sauce: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil for the pasta. Meanwhile, in a large skillet over medium-low heat, melt 6 tablespoons of butter. Add half of the minced garlic and stir until fragrant but not browned. Pour in the heavy cream, bringing it to a low boil, then reduce to simmer for about 5 minutes until it thickens slightly. Stir in the parmesan cheese and cream cheese, whisking until melted and smooth. Season the sauce with salt, freshly cracked pepper, and red pepper flakes according to taste.
  3. Cook Pasta: Add the angel hair pasta to the boiling water and cook until al dente according to the package instructions. Drain the pasta and return it to the pot. Pour in the prepared Alfredo sauce and toss gently to coat the pasta evenly. Set the skillet aside after cleaning it for the next step.
  4. Brown Meat and Vegetables: In the cleaned large skillet over medium heat, add 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Add the ground beef and Italian sausage, breaking them up with a spoon as they cook. After about 2 minutes, add the diced onion, green bell pepper, and remaining garlic cloves. Continue to sauté until the meat is fully browned and the vegetables are tender. Pour in the marinara sauce and sprinkle the Italian seasoning. Season with salt and pepper to taste, stirring well to combine all ingredients evenly.
  5. Assemble the Dish: Grease a large cast iron skillet or a 9×13-inch casserole dish. Spread the Alfredo-coated pasta evenly in the dish. Spoon the marinara meat sauce over the pasta and level it out with a spatula. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella, fontina, and provolone cheeses over the entire top layer.
  6. Bake: Place the assembled baking dish in the oven and bake for 20 minutes, allowing the cheese to melt and the sauce to bubble. For an extra golden and bubbly cheese crust, optionally broil the top for an additional 5 minutes, watching carefully to prevent burning.
  7. Serve: Remove from the oven, garnish with freshly chopped parsley, and serve hot for a creamy, flavorful million dollar spaghetti experience.

Notes

  • Like a lasagna, this baked spaghetti’s sauce can bubble over and spill onto the bottom of your oven. To prevent burning and mess, place a foil-lined baking sheet on the rack beneath the dish while baking.
  • Using a large cast iron skillet helps achieve an even bake and crispy edges but a 9×13 casserole dish works well too.
  • Adjust the amount of garlic and red pepper flakes to your taste preferences for the Alfredo sauce.
  • Use freshly grated cheeses for the best melting quality and flavor.
  • Allow the dish to rest a few minutes after baking for easier serving and better flavor melding.
